Question #6:

EXTREMELY aggressive kitten. How can I calm him down?

My kitten is only a couple of weeks old and is the most aggressive kitten I have ever had, and I've had a lot of cats in my life. I understand that cats can become too overstimulated from being petted too much/long, so I give him his space while cuddling, and let him leave when he is done. After meal times, I find, however, he GOES CRAZY. He stalks my feet, attacks my arms and hands and chews on cords. Clapping at him and firmly saying "no" is beginning to work with the chewing, but the attacking NEEDS to stop. Please help before my limbs look like hamburger meat :(

Question #7:

My cats butt is leaking. help?

Here's the gist of it all. My cat trigger has had custard poop since he was a kitten. Once he hit a year old I decided it was time to get him to a vet. After $112 later, the vet tried an anti-inflammatory and suggested a hypo-allergenic diet. So adding about $45 to that. After about a week of him being on the medication and special diet, this morning my girlfriend and I a woke to find a little surprise in our bed. It had a horrendous smell to it. It was just a little bit though. Then I was walking around the house and stepped in another small surprise. Later that day I watched as trigger sat on the floor and then took off running to chase our other cat that there was a quarter size thing of poop it looked like on the ground. So I grabbed my cat to see and it looked like his butt was leaking. I did a little investigating and came to the conclusion that is was his anal gland. But if his anal gland is impacted wouldn't it "not" leak? I know how to express the glad because I have had to do it before. If it is that I have no problem doing it myself, but if it isn't, what could it be? I really want to avoid another expensive vet visit and I'm sure trigger does too....although i should make them do it for free since the medication and expensive food was useless it seems because he still has custard poop.

Question #8:

oh god, my wife provoked me into hitting her - again ?

its been a while since I laid a finger on her - mind you, she hasn't exactly been an angel herself.

it all happened at a recent dinner party at one of her work colleagues house, they're doing alright i suppose - massive house in Cheshire , you know up north - they all talk funny and different to us London folk.

now we're not exactly 'down market' inner city low lives ourselves, we like to live lavishly too - spending wildly and dining at fine restraunts and what have you.

but it all went pear shaped, the night that is - when my wife indirectly labeled me an under-achiever due to 'laziness'.

basicaly she was tarnishing my image infront of the other men folk at the dinner table, and their wives were looking at one another in surprise.

a wife ought not to demean her husband like this, not at dinner parties at other peoples houses surely !

well, she excused her self and wanted to use the ladies restroom - i made an excuse about wanting to go out for a cigerette, but followed her upstairs.

There I confronted her and asked her why she said the things she did infront of all those rich snob fake cheshire cat ba$tards.

clearly the alcohol in her blood stream had impaired her senses - and she arrogantly brushed my arm off of her shoulder. I had simply placed my hand affectionately on her shoulder, and she responded in a rude manner.

So I grabber her by the neck and told her to fix up or i'll hit her on the nose.

could u believe this b1tch ? she struck out me !

i then grabbed her from the waist and she struggled to release my grip and we both landed violently against the staircase bannister.

by this point ppl downstairs could hear the commotion - and 3 men raced up to see what was happening.

my wife foolishly requested them to aid her in removing my grip on her.

they approached me and tried to physicaly overhwhelm me but I adminstered a hefty size 12 into the chest of the tubby fella in the glasses wearing the bow tie, and he went tumbling down the steps !

then the bigger fella, Dave let one go and he missed - smacking the wall over my head. I smacked him in the mid-section with a sturdy blow and winded him and the last guy tried to rugby tackle me to the floor but I kneed him in the face putting him out cold.

i heard sirens - and i guess the silly ladies downstairs called the police !

i hate it when this happens to me at dinner parties.

so upon heraing the sirens i ran out of the house and made a get-away.

i ran into a dead end road and i saw the siren lights drawing closer and closer and my wifes voice from the car. " try that road, he might be hiding there ".

so i quickly did the only thing i could - that was to hide inside a giant rubbish bin, containing many bin bags !

this was a putrid repugnant vile smelly container that held many bags.

i sat in there in the darkness and dared not even breathe. I heard the police footsteps drawing closer - and my b1tch of a wife speaking " oh well, i guess hes not here haha "

close shave.

hey, i think the cops are still after me.

should I leave the country now ?

Question #9:

101 ways to skin a cat, why not 102? and wtf who would skin a cat?

if i had to skin a cat, i think the world would be coming to an end....skin a cat wtf?

Question #10:

What would smell like someone made a sandwich?

While i was in the living room when it was raining i smelled the smell of a sandwich that had been made but no on was in the kitchen just my cats eating their food.
I have never smelled anything food wise in my house unless someone really did make a sandwich or something like that.
The time was 10:00 am. My mom left at 7:30 am.
it smelled like a turkey sandwich. Smelled pretty good but there wasn't one in the kitchen.
their food was chicken and rice and the smell of the sandwich i smelled before i fed them.

Question #11:

My cat - 19 year old - growth type things round his neck...?

Okai, my mother and I need some help. Our family own a 19 year old cat called Slipper. He's so old now that we can't take him to the vets as we're afraid that he wont make it up there in the car as the car stresses him out.

He has these growth type things round his neck, the last time we took him to the vets, they shave the area and cleaned it, then put steroid cream on it.
We continued this at home but it didn't help...now my mum and I are always cleaning it and shaving it. But my cat continues to scratch it. (I know that as it heels it becomes to itch - as any wound does) He's making it worse though...it's bleeding (which we have to clean him again) It oozes all the time.

The main question is to think of ideas on how to cover it/stop him from itching it.
We've tried covering it with a piece of surgical dressing and tape. We've tried putting little baby socks on his paws to stop him from scratching it. A cat collar wont help because the growths are on his neck and that lays on his neck which would irritate it more then Slipper would.

We need help lol...no stupid replies..only seriously answers please.
My cat is not neglected...
Jesus christ, my family and I have always had animals our whole life and we get our animals from rescue centres. Is what Slipper has is a tumour the vet would of mentioned this when we last visited her and she gave us the steroid cream.
And if people read my whole 'text' you would understand our predicament.
We love our animals very much...And slipper is eating and drinking and the vet is happy with how he is...we just need ideas on how to cover it so it will heal.

Question #12:

What brand of cat food should I feed my indoor cat?

At first I was feeding my 3 year old indoor cat Science Diet. I heard it consisted of mostly grains, which is not good for a cat. I immediately cut her off of Science Diet and began my search for a brand of cat food that consisted of mostly meat. I was so shocked at the amount of grains in cat food and really disgusted with these companies. I have heard of the Wellness brand and I am interested. Is that a reliable brand? Should I feed her canned food? Or should I just cook fresh meats for her?

Question #13:

If your cat could talk, what would it be saying to you right now?

Question #14:

is it possible that a cat can think a human is ugly?

like at home i usually look really crappy with my hair in a messy bun and some random outfit i grab out of the closet. i know cats dont think the same way we do but is it possible for the way i look to effect the way my cat thinks about me and likes me?

Question #15:

DIVORCE OVER A DOG ? why would a wife do this ?

To make a long story short (maybe)... my wife and I have been married 18 years. Have a daughter 16 and son 13. We are an odd couple... I am deaf, she is hearing, I am an engineer, she is an artist... get the idea ?(OPPOSITES!) anyway our marriage is basically OK... a few rough spots here and there but we are both nice people but have very opposite ideas, etc.... soooo.... now we have 3 pets... 1 dog and 2 cats ( NOTE: we talk about getting these pets and everyone agreed to this) all strays.... here is where the D word comes in. When we rescued the first dog, I said no more pets. We can't afford any more pets. And she said OK. A few years later, she said the dog needs a playmate. I said no way, we can't afford it! Now out of the blue ( last year) she and my daughter bring home another stray dog... I said we can't keep her. they said ok, we just need to find a good home for her. in the mean time... she pees in the house, she is better now but still pees, digs up the yard, picks on the 2 cats and our first dog, and it is getting on my nerves. I said we just need to take this dog to a NO-KILL shelter... she said no... the dog needs more time... I said it's been a year! I am tired of working all day and coming home to a house with dog pee in it! I told her she has to make a choice... that dog or me.... she said she will have to think about it ? HUH ??? She doesn't work ! She is a good mother, but as a wife it just Ok ( I can live with it), BUT I am tired of working all day while a dog pees in the house when I said NO MORE PETS a long time ago.... soo now that my heart is stabbed... should I just give up and live in a stinky house, or should i leave and worry about the children living with her? NOTE: I said she is a good mother in a sense that she loves the kids, but she it not that responsible... also she take anti depressants and a few other things... to keep her "stable" but she doe slip and have bad days at times ( for no reason) I on the other hand am responsible, but not as nurturing as she is. i guess the big picture is I am consistent and she is not. I think part of the problem is she had a terrible mother and she does not want to be anything like her mother, so she does anything to please the kids ( get the idea) another question to those of you who love your children... is it hard to live without your children ?

Question #16:

can cats/animals tell humans apart from other humans?

like i feel like my cat likes me the most, even my mom has noticed. like when my brothers and i walk into a room he usually runs up to me first & if i dont give him attention he'll start crying sometimes. also doesnt it confuse them when we were different outfits and colors? like i know they dont think the way we do but do you think it is possible for a can to step back and ask " wow how do they change colors like that? "

Question #17:

I took in a cat for a friend because it wasn't getting along with the other household animals...?

...but the cat is destroying my walls and trim. They are beautiful & was very expensive to have done, I have tried all types of things to get this cat to stop scratching them and pulling at the carpet. I bought 2 scratch poles and built a tri-level thing (& carpeted every inch of it) for the cat to jump/lay on but it will only jump on the leather furniture and wood tables. I know alot of people think de-clawing is horrible, but this seems to be the only option, short of having it put down. What should I do?
Thanks Julie.
Joan of Arc, done that to no end...he just runs away & comes right back doing it again...seems out of spite!
Others, all due respect but de-clawing is legal in most countries & and the USA. Just because it's illegal in one country, it doesn't mean it right to others. It's ok in the Arabic world to beat a woman because she's talking to someone outside of her family...so should other countries follow? Just making a point.
Aleasha, thank you also.

Question #18:

What is an adult cat favourite food?

Question #19:

My grans cat had a strange black mark on its lip...?

If it doesnt get better soon shes goin to take it to the vet, until then i said i would check online to see if its perhaps a known prolem with cats.

It happend last week or so, my gran had noticed the cats bottom lip was black, like it had been burnt or somthing and it wasnt eating or anything, it did get better after a few days and looked normal again, but now it isnt eating much again and its lip is really pink whereas before it was just plain white like its coat, and its nose looks a little swollen too now.

Anyone have any idea what this could be, is it somthing common found in cats somtimes ? Or could it just be a plain injury its picked up somwhere and this is it healing up ? And the reason its not eating is because its mouth is so sore ?

Thank you.
