Question #1:

What should I name my cat?

I found a stray cat about 6 months ago and we've put a collar on him and no one has phoned so we've basically adopted him except he doesn't like coming indoors, only in the night/when it's cold. It's a boy, he's very pretty and i think he's a british shorthair. He also has quite big eyes and small ears and a dark tabby colouring. Any names? xx

Question #2:

I have a question for British Shorthair cat owners?

What length is your cats tail? My Babies tail is eight inches or if you work in cm then 20 cm thanks

Question #3:

I have a question for British Shorthair Cat owners?

What length is your Cat's tail? I have been told my Cats tail is short for a BSH. My Baby tail is 20 inches or if you work in cm it is 20 cm. She is perfect in every other way not that I'm to bothered, but I would like to know?

Question #4:

Question #5:

***British Shorthair Wanted***?

Looking to see if there's anyone in the Aberdeen area of Scotland selling any British Shorthair cats?

Thanks :)
yeah I know its not a wanted ad section, and yes I know how much they cost because I already have one? And I'm in UK so funnily enough I use £ not $

Question #6:

Should I get a second cat?

I recently got a beautiful British Shorthair girl who is just over 1 year old. She has such a fantastic temperament and is really well behaved, the only thing is, I'm out of the house quite often for work and I think she gets quite lonely, and I was considering getting another cat. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with this, and if I were to get another cat, would I have to get another British Shorthair?

Thanks :)
Whoever that is that just majorly spammed this question = epic fail

Question #7:

Ideas needed to keep my cat happy :)?

I recently got a british shorthair cat who is only 1 year old. She's an absolute beauty, and I love playing with her and spending as much time with her as I can, but when I have to go out to work or college for long periods of time in day, I worry about her getting bored! Any ideas for ways to keep her entertained during the day when I'm not around to play with her?

Question #8:

why wont my cats mate ?

Before i get a battering from you all about being irresponsible breeder and there are lots of abandoned kittens etc etc ,
No1 Im not an irresponisble cat breeder i have 2 registered pedigree british shorthair's
No2 I know how much it costs to breed ie vets fee's I have plenty of money to fund this.
No3 The cats i have are not siblings and not from same litter
No4 i have had all the relevant blood tests for them.

My question is My female cat is on heat and she keeps going to my male cat meowing at him all day long and following him sitting infront of him and he is not interested in her at all also she is howling loud , he just wants to play with her , he bites her and plays thats it , he shows no sign of being at all interested, and i have no idea why this is they are both old enough and sexually mature to breed , so does anyone have any ideas why he isnt interested.
thanks in advance.

Question #9:

Cat Insurance- please help me?!?!?!?

I have been searching for cat insurance for 2 weeks. Every time I ask about it someone sends me a link to comparison sites- general information is useful, but I would really like someones personal opinion and experience with regards to their own cat insurers. Who do you use? How much does it cost for lifelong cover? PetPlan have quoted me £29 per month for the budget plan- mainly because I live in London... this seems a bit excessive for a indoor British Shorthair who is healthy as pie. Please cat owners- what should I do?

Question #15:

When is the best age to neuter a british shorthair cat?

I have a 3 month old British shorthair kitten.I heard they become fully adult at the age of 3-4 years. Will the early neutering prevent his full grown up mail shorthair cat? What is the best age for a cat like that to be neutered?

Question #16:

Is the British shorthair a good cat for single workers?

I am a single worker. I am normally out of home around 10-12 hours depending on the day. I live in 500 square feet flat. After and before I go to work I will take care of the cat's needs. He/She will be perfectly fed and in great condition. I will leave toys so that He/She can play.

They've told me that the best breed for my situation will be a British Short-hair since they can be alone for long periods without problems. Also, I've heard they are affectionate animals which is something I really appreciate and that they don't mind being the only cat at the house. My salary is not very high and I don't think I can pay for the maintenance of two cats.
Obviously I would get it from the local shelter and nothing below 1 and a half years old, since kittens require a lot of attention.

Question #17:

How can I tell the difference between an American Shorthair and a British Shorthair?

I'm talking about cat breeds here. I'm sorry if my question seems stupid to serious cat people!

Question #20:

What breed of cat is the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland supposed to be?

I think it may be a British Shorthair, but I'm not to sure.
Of course I realise it's fiction, you idiots, but the cat itself must've been based off of a real cat.

The pet food recall scared us into making our own cat food at home. We did alot of research into cat nutrition requirements and went through alot of trial and error trying out new recipes for the cats - seeing what they liked and what they didn't. We ended up with quite a few super yummy recipes. Our friends begged us to share the recipes with them and we realized there were probably lots of other cat owners out there that would love to try these cat food recipes out on their cat too! So, 123 CatFood.com came into being. It really is as easy as 1-2-3.
