Question #1:
My Cat was abandoned at the zoo that I worked at about 3 months ago. She is approximately 10 months old. She loves water and can jump about 4 feet off the ground straight up. She loves to play fetch and plays with her toys like a dog would, especially when she throws her toy up in the air to catch it. She is a hunter, a fly only lives in my house as long as she allows it to. she is most content on the days that she is allowed to go outside either on her leash or in her carrier. I think she is F4 Savannah or F4 savannah/bengal mix. no way to know as I don't have her medical records, but i thought that someone might be able to look at her pics and give me their educated guess. She has traits of savannah like the "eye liner" the broad flattish nose, the ears, the ringed tail with a black tip, Etc. She is very Lean and Long and tall. She stands about knee high on me and I'm 5'8". Idk waddya think?

(gonna have to copy and paste link into a new window)
thanx
Obviously I don't have papers because she was abandoned. Also I think it's really rude to post that I'm "delusional" to think she has any traits of a Savannah breed. I never said she was A Savannah, just said maybe she might have Savannah Lineage, That's why i put F4 instead of F2. All i know for sure is that she is not the average cat, I've had housecats since I was a toddler and this one acts like a dog in cat's body.
Question #2:
please dont be rude or demeaning.
I found on craigslist a bengal mix kitten about 8 weeks old...they wanted a 60$ rehoming fee to make sure it goes to a good home. i went to check out the kitten and he was beautiful! gorgeous. i wanted this kitten SO bad. we dont have any other cats so we asked if the woman could lower the price because we still have to get all the kitty supplies...not to mention we still have to get him his shots and such. she said that she absolutely CANT because the momma cat costed 600$ and that a kitten like this would usually go for 200$ but they need to get rid of them fast.
i gave her a check for the 60$ when i came to pick him up.
after bringing him home..i soon discovered that he was SEVERELY infested with fleas. i mean...it was bad.
not only that, but he has an eye infection
and we suspect his has either parasites or worms....we know he has one of the those two...just not sure which yet
we have called the vet and talked to him about these problems
we dont have the money to pay for a big vet bill right now..but he needs to be seen and get all his shots.
she called me the other day and said that the check bounced and she wants cash now (my husband hadnt gotten paid yet) he got paid on the day she called. i told her to take the check back and try again but she wont.
she wants me to bring the 60$ in cash and she will give me the check back.
i really dont want to give her the full 60$ because of all the problems this poor kitten has...but i am not willing to give the kitten back.
my husband keeps telling me to stand up for myself and tell her that we arent going to pay that much since she gave us the kitten in very poor health.
i want to very badly give this woman a piece of my mind....but i dont want to cause a bunch of trouble..i mean as in her calling the police or whatever.
what would you do?
would you tell her off or just go along with it?
please dont be rude to me...i have never done this before...i have never purchased a kitten.
and its not so simple as just giving him back...i am already in love with him
i was thinking of taking off 15$ for the vaccinations
the check bounced. but we didnt know it would, he was supposed to get paid on that day but they paid him the next day...
Question #3:
my cat seams to be a bit ill he's a quite young bengal cat and i did a test a minute ago to see if when i touched his belly he moved him either cause he was annoyed or happy that he was getting attention, but when itouch his neck and upper back he didn't waggle his tail,so do they?
thanks
Gus.
Question #4:
I have 5 cats, 3 siamese, 1 bengal and 1 maine coon.
My eldest female siamese keeps bullying the youngest siamese and the bengal..
We have had this problem before.. so we took her to the vet, the vet gave us this plug in air freshener type thing and it was supposed to calm them down.. it didnt work so we took her back to the vets cause it was getting out of hand, the vet gave us dome antidepressants for her.. they works for about 6 weeks.. then she came off them and started being a bully again sop we put her back on the tablets but they are not working this time..
She keeps chasing the bengal round the house then cornering her in the living room.. and she chases and physically attacks the youngest siamese to the point of her screaming :/
I just dont know what to do anymore... I've tried everything.. but she wont stop bullyin the little ones..
any advice?
Question #5:
He gets bored from time to time with his toys and usually destroys the average cat nip mouse. What are some fun games you play with your bengals? Any specialty toy or climbing objects you would recommend? We have a whole room for him he can go in to get away from our dog. He has a cat tree in there and some little crinkley tunnels. Any other suggestions to keep him busy?
no no more cats in this house :) 1 bengal is enough for me, he's awesome but more then one of him would be way too much to handle. The dog is his best friend, he has bonded to her although he really does play the annoying younger brother role with her lol.
Question #6:
A neighbour is looking after her daughters two cats, indefinately. Its been a couple of years now, and the neighbourhood has had enough, we all have pets, most have a cat, and all live in harmony, til these two arrive. They are bengal cats, amazing to look at and very inquisitive. One has got into a house, into a babies bedroom, into the cot, and scratched the babies face and arm. They constantly steal food from houses, poo all over the place, they have no fear whatso ever, terrorise all the other cats, I live in a flat on the first floor, I have no idea how, but they get into my bathroom window and try to get my pet budgies, one day I wont be quick enough, they have had the cage over a couple of times. Please dont say close all your windows, that is ridiculous, the heat is stifling! The owner just says tough! We have all tried squirting water at them, but they are not in the least bothered. One got trapped in my lounge, and wrecked it. So, come on, without doing any harm to the cats, what on earth can I do?
Question #7:
Hiya. I have written this book and asked a question before for people to critisize it. This is the third time. Also, I need a title for it. It's about a girl who gets invited to live in Tibet with him for a month. It turns out he needs her help. There are these Himalayan horses, and they are on the brink of exctinction. He needs her to help him come up with a plan to save them. I thought 'The Himalayan Horses' but the uncle keeps it a secret from her until they are in the himalayas, which is chapter four/five, so I felt that would give it away. And, I'm 11, and think I would quite like to read it, but do you think it sounds like its aimed at older childern? Any Ideas and critisizims will be much apprectiated, thanks in advance! :) here is chapter one:
‘CHAPTER ONE: UNCLE LA-MO
“Kitsi, your uncle’s here!” yelled Akita
“Coming mum!” she yelled back. Kitsi Smith was thirteen years old with tousled light brown hair and stunning green eyes with little orange flecks. She was small for her age, and had tanned, spot-less skin. She was wearing a dark pair of denim shorts and a short-sleeved striped tee shirt, despite of the pouring rain outside. Kitsi got up from the sofa where she had been watching a documentary on Natural Horsemanship. She walked through the hall and to the front door, where her mother, Akita Smith, was talking to her uncle. He lived in Tibet, so she had never met him before. He had dark skin and black hair, with little grey patches here and there. He had laughter lines around his sky blue eyes and a huge grin on his face, revealing a set of gleaming white teeth.
“Ah, you must be Kitsi!” his smile widened “Pleased to meet you!” he held out his hand. Kitsi smiled back at him, although she felt unsure of him. Although he looked perfectly friendly, she felt that he was a stranger.
“Here, take a seat” said Akita, pointing at the brown leather sofa. “Kitsi, put the kettle on would you?” She wandered into the kitchen with a dreamy look on her face. La-Mo, her Uncle, scanned the bright red room. He particularly liked the huge, almost life-sized statue of Buddha, and a little Bonsai tree in the corner. There where three identical pictures of a single stalk of bamboo lined up next to each other on the wall behind him, and a small flat screen T.V. on the wall in front of him. A log fire burned in the fireplace underneath the television, making him feel very comfortable. A little Bengal cat sat on a red fluffy rug in front of the fireplace. A oak bookshelf stood in the opposite corner from the Bonsai tree and a little computer desk next to that. La-Mo felt very cosy as he looked out the window at the sheets of rain getting heavier every minute. Kitsi returned from the kitchen with three cups of tea and a small bowl of sugar. She handed out the cups of tea and placed the sugar bowl on the wooden table. She sunk into a brown beanbag next to the sofa and flicked through the channels on the T.V. while Akita and La-Mo caught up with each other. She noticed her mother and Uncle’s voice turn to a whisper, but didn’t think much of it and carried on watching the television.
“Could you show me around your garden, Kitsi?” La-Mo asked, as it had stopped raining
“Yeah, okay” she said, trying to sound confident, although she felt nervous, but she wasn’t sure why.
“So, Kitsi, what’s life like out here in the country?“ he asked, trying to make conversation
“Yes, its great, thanks. Lots of fresh air” she wasn’t quite sure why she had said the bit about the fresh air. They wandered around the garden for a while without speaking.
“I hear your very Horsey?” he asked. It was more of a question than anything else.
“Um, yes,’ she replied. They walked until the reached the end of the garden. La-Mo spun round, taking Kitsi by surprise.
“Do you want to stay in Tibet with me for a month?” he asked before he knew what he was saying. Kitsi’s heart skipped a beat. She stared into his piercing blue eyes for a while. After a few minutes, La-Mo was starting to wish he hadn’t asked. After two more minutes, she turned her back to him and thought about it for a while.
Her uncle - whom she had only known for twenty minutes, was asking her to fly thousands of miles away and stay in his house for a month. Any sane person would turn it down, but Kitsi sensed a t
tone of desperation in his voice.
"I'll talk it over with mum" she said firmly
“Oh, go on darling! We can phone, and write letters, and e-mail. It’s a once in a life time opportunity. Go on.”
“But, I barely know him. I’ll miss you, mum. It’s a whole month!”
“I know darling. You’ll regret it if you say no. Trust me, I know you’ll love it.”
“Okay, I’ll go.”
Question #8:
Hi. I asked this before and got some great answers. I have taken all of that advice into account and edited it. The story is about a girl who's uncle invites her to his home in Tibet for a month, because he needs her help. She then finds out that there are Himalayan Horses on the brink of exctinction, and he needs her to help him come up with a plan to save them. This is the first chapter, and I need you to critisize it. I want to know:
A) strong points
B) weak points
C) I need a title for it!
here it is:

‘on my own?’ she finally asked.
‘well, without your mother, yes. I need your help’ he explained. She thought about it for a few further minutes.
‘why?’ she asked.
‘I can’t tell you, unless you turn the offer down. it’s a secret.’ she felt a bit un nerved at this. What on earth could he want her to do so badly that it meant not telling her until she was miles away from home, in a foreign country.
‘yes, ok, I’ll help you.’ she said, a little surprised at herself
‘great! Thank you, Kitsi. Now, lets go and tell your mother’ he sighed with relief
.thank's in advance :)
hi everyone :)
thank you so much for your answers, they have all been VERY helpful. I am 11 years old, but I'm not really sure what age it sounds like it's aimed at, so what do you think? thanks again!

Question #9:
I have a 3yr old Bengal, who loves is meat, but which is the best wet food available in the uk, with the highest meat content?
Question #10:
Its 12 weeks old and its a Lilac Point Siamese x Snow Spotted Bengal, its really crazy and likes to eat teabags and nibble toes. Ive had it for 2 days and am struggling to come up with a name. Ive looked at all the cat names websites with no luck so i was hoping someone could come up with a suitable name. Thanks!
Question #11:
I have read all the risks and bad things about delcawing. I want to delcaw my kitten because he ruins the furniture. He is a bengal and is very active. Is it that big of a deal to get it done. I don't no if i have the heart to do it. Has anyone's cat been affected from declawing it? Am i a bad person for wanting to get him declawed? How long will he recover? Will he be the same?
He is stricly indoors
Question #12:
I have a Catgenie (its a litterbox that cleans itself and the granules, and flushes into the toilet). My female Bengal, who is spayed, pees on the floor when the C.G. is cycling. The cycle lasts around 30 mins. and I'm not sure if she does this only when it's cycling or not, but when I catch her it's always when it's cycling. I have a male cat who has no problems with the C.G., and she gets along fine with him. She's not depressed or unhappy, she doesn't appear to be in any pain while going . If I had a regular litterbox she would use it over the C.G.. I know that may solve my problem, but I spent alot of money on the C.G. and I'm not good about keeping a regular box clean. I'm not home all day, so I can't control when it cycles. The only thing that I see that is the same from when she had this problem before is that I'm in a very small apt., but I'm not sure if that would have an affect or is just a coincidence. Also the C.G. is in a hallway, and doesn't have a cover. She has pooped on the floor once, last week, but I wasn't home to see why. Her name is Jazmin. If you need additional, please feel free to ask.
To Breanna s.: I have thought of that, the only problem is that I would have to keep it in a closet, and my cat has learned how to open the closets. That and it would kind of defy the point of having the cat genie. Thanks for your input though
to Allaiya: I don't have a garage, She stops when I snap at her...and she likes being squirted with a water bottle, what does putting orange and banana peels down do?
Oh, and I've tried putting pepper on the floor, and cat food, but she went anyway, also put catnip in the catgenie, but more funny that helpfull
Question #13:
i really want a bengal cat and i'm willing to put the time and effort needed to care for these pets. but im at school all day and am out for atleast 7 hours at a time, this wouldn't be all week as sometimes my parents are off work. if i dont get one now i would be looking to get one when im at university and wil be out alot then too.
P.S getting another cat is out of the question as my parents arn't keen on getting one and i wont be able to afford two at university.
Question #14:
I have been looking for a new bengal kitten for a while now and I recently found a local breeder. She is selling the kittens at the normal price with all their certificates, however she is allowing them to be re homed at 7 weeks. Is this too young as I thought kittens were not supposed to be re homed until 12 weeks of age.
Question #15:
it has all the feutures & the father is definatly a bengal, but the mother is tabby, does this make my cat part bengal & if so would it have the same feutures as a full one & how big could it grow if so?
Question #16:
my husband wants a Savannah Cat and I want a Bengal Cat. I understand they are both hybrid breeds and therefore not like other regular domestic cats. We have done tons of research into both breeds and while we like both my hubby prefers the Savannah while I prefer the Bengal. At least we both agreed we would like to have an early generation. hopefully F1 but no later than F4.
Anyways... Those of you who have these breeds either one or both which do you think is better for a couple who has more experience with domestic cats and none with hybrids.
Question #17:
Ive had a puppy for about 3 months now, and ive got 2 cats, both has had previous experience with dogs, but im not to how far to let the puppy go when playing with the cats,
The male cat, will take so much and does play back he bites his ears and lets him get on top of him and everything, but the puppy can pin him down but in the end the cat will just run off, is this playing?
Girl cat, shes a Bengal, he just seems to run around her in circles barking is his threatening behaviors?
please help, any tips on helping them to get along would be great
Question #18:
I have just re-homed a 3yr old bengal male cat, he has been neutered, and has royal canin protein biscuits, i also give him whiska's pouchs, but he keeps crying for more wet food. Does anyone know how much he should be having?
Question #19:
This might sound funny, but it really really isn't. He sneaks up behind me while I'm sitting usually but sometimes when I'm standing. Once, he scratched my ear and it bled lots and a scar is still there. I always have scratches across my face. My mum always shuts him in the bathroom (because he has a very short memory so he forgets about what he did) but he never forgets it completely. My mum is always telling me that he's going to scratch my eyeballs someday and I'll be blind, and that scars me. But he just won't stop. She took him to the vet and the vet said that kittens jump on senior cats' heads to annoy them, but obviously I'm not a cat so I'm confused. I want him to stop! What do I do? He is a year and a half and he's a Bengal, if that helps.
Question #20:
I got a kittten two months ago and still have no name for him. I want something unique and not original. Any suggestions? He is a bengal.

The pet food recall scared us into making our own cat food at home. We did alot of research into cat nutrition requirements and went through alot of trial and error trying out new recipes for the cats - seeing what they liked and what they didn't. We ended up with quite a few super yummy recipes. Our friends begged us to share the recipes with them and we realized there were probably lots of other cat owners out there that would love to try these cat food recipes out on their cat too! So, 123 CatFood.com came into being. It really is as easy as 1-2-3.
