Question #1:
5.)The Abyssinian
Be sure to add you personal favorite. Doesn't have to be the five listed!
Question #2:
She's kinda of skinny, but you can't see her ribs. She's an abyssinian if that helps, she rather likes it when I just use my nails on her head, she'll fall right asleep when I do that.
Question #3:
I looked on Craigslist but non were real abyssinian does anyone know where I can find abyssinian kittens for sale and or adoption 75$-200$ no name yet and declawed if possible. (NOT breeders) All the breeders Ive seen are idiots and ask way too much and make you promise really stupid things like it cant go outside, and no declawing well its more painful to the furnature and walls than to the cat, it has to be spayed (I'm not spaying mine because she will be on a leash not like her cat toy will knock her up).
So please cat lovers help me find sites where people are selling abyssinian kittens or human societies in Los angeles that are sell/looking for people to adopt them iin HS remember LA only thanks.
PS: I've looked everywhere even petfinder, cats in need, adopt a pet, and others no luck with cats that don't look diseased and are fake abyssinians (aka Mix)
Question #4:
Hi,
I have this 7 yo cat that started to pee on random places and it's getting annoying. He wasn't acting like that until 1 or 2 months ago. You think you can help me solve this problem? Anyone had the same problem?
Here are some facts that might help you understand:
-We have two other cats and a dog.
-One of the two cats was recently (1 year ago) added to the family. He's now the biggest and they don't get along perfectly (but they're not fighting all the time, just ignoring eachother).
-We recently (2 months) had to kill his sister who was sick.
-It's an abyssinian cat.
-It's not a dumb cat, and he doesn't act weirdly other than that.
-The dog was also added 1 year ago into the house. (so a dog and a cat arrived almost at the same time. At first there was a little bit of friction, but nothing unusual, and everyone accepts everyone now).
-The new cat still attacks the two others (mostly for fun) which can put a stress on them. They're older than him so they don'T really fight back and just act angrily for 20 seconds.
-He pees in the basement, sometimes right in front of our eyes, on the oven, in the kitchen.
-We think he pee's in those places approximately once 1 week. (It's been like that for a few weeks)
I can't think of anything else.
Thanks in advance!
Question #5:
I hear that people with cat allergies aren't allergic to all cats just cats with the most dander, so what three cats out of the following has the least Fel d?
Siberian
Somali
Siamese
Abyssinian
Burmese
Javanese
Balinese
Maine Coon
Demestic long hair
Demestic Short hair
European Short hair
Nebelung
When your done choosing the best three please direct me with the best link to breeders for the 3 cats that are closest to wisconsin but if you can't then just give me a link of all breeders in (USA Only). Thank you so much!!!
Question #6:
(I got her from a person who didn't know what breed she was)
She's small, long and skinny, she has big, pointy, long ears, she makes this weird chuckling sound when she is frustrated- like when the laser dot is on the ceiling and she can't get it- she is REALLY fast and can jump pretty high, she has a thick, black line that goes down her back and to the end of her tail, her tail has black stripes and she has black spots and stripes on her body, her tail constantly moves like a snake, she is a gray, silver, and a little bit tan, murky color that is really pretty, a white chin, cream colored side of legs and tummy with black spots, her nose is lined with black, on her forehead she has a M that is cut in half and other markings like spots, she has green-blue, yellow-golden eyes, a small, heart shaped face, her mouth is in white, her eyes is lined with white, there's a black line that goes from the tip of her eyes to the sides of her head...
Some thoughts I had were Egyptian Mau or a bit Abyssinian or just a plain tabby? I think she isn't a pure breed.
Thanks
Oh, sorry. I don't really know how to put up a pic, but i uploaded a picture of my cat as my profile pic.
O ya, leebee, she is really hyper too and she will return strings and small objects, never balls though.
Oh here! I figured it out. Here's some links:

Question #7:
I'm thinking about getting a female abyssinian kitten. The problem is, I read that these cats are very active and that they need to go out sometimes. I live in a apartment and I want to have an indoor cat since I'm not that kind of person who will happily let the cat outside (one of my cats got run over by a car when I lived with parents so that's why outdoor cats are big no for me). I'm also going to school, I'm away for 8 hours, is it possible for a abyssinian cat to entertain itself with all the toys? I can't buy two cats because of my economy. If abyssinians are not too good as apartment cats, what cat breed would you suggest me? I am also concidering a Russian Blue since I had one. I'm also thinking about Ocicats
When I lived in flat with my parents when I was young we had 3 cats which were perfectly fine to stay indoor, so as you said it depends on the breed and on cat's personality. It seems also that our cats were actually afraid of going outside because of the road outside of the window, wild cats and a lot of human passing by. The cat which we bought after we moved into the house was really crazy about going out so we let her out but as said the end wasn't that nice. The other thing is we had pretty calm cat breed, russian blue, cornish rex and siames. The one which died was half abyssinian half streetcat. I decided anyway not to get abyssinian because of their big love for outdoor because I know that cat wouldn't stay in one place, the same goes with bengals, so I'm deciding to go with cornish rex or russian blue in the future
Question #8:
My mother is on vacation in the US and I live in Europe with my father and she was thinking about bringing back a Japanese Chin, about 6 years of age. The problem is that I own two male Abyssinian( 7 years and 11 month) cats who don't really like dogs that much, but my grandma says that it's not that big a problem. Can someone answer a few questions for me?
1. Will the cats kill the Japanese Chin while I am outside to the grocery store?
2. Will they bully her (Japanese chin) She's smaller than our cats I believe
Just give me any kind of information about Japanese Chins and Abyssinian cats, you can also give me some websites. She'll be coming back in three weeks and I need to know if I can have the puppy I've always wanted, and plus I don't get a summer vacation this year. Thanks!
Question #9:
Question #10:
I live in Los Angeles county. I want to know where I can purchase one of these cats. How much should I expect to pay for a pure breed kitten? I never owned a cat before, but find this breed unique looking. Almost looks like a cougar. Points to anyone who can point me in the right path. Thank you.
Question #11:
Well, before my kitten got spayed, the vet was doing a test on her, and said she was practically positive she was Abyssinian, or at least part Abyssinian... Because she's so thin and sleek... But she has a brother, who belongs to my sister, and he's just pure domestic short hair. He's not fat, but for sure not thin and slender like my cat. They were farm cats, our friends female farm cats had an accidental litter. Anyways, I would believe my kitty is Abyssinian, but then how is her brother not as well? Anyways, we also know her mother was domestic short hair, not sure about the father, since he was just some random tom cat that ran around... Anyways, here's the pictures of my kitten:

Question #12:
I've been toying with the idea of getting a second cat for a while and I've decided that I'm finally going to start doing some research. I've already decided that it's going to be a kitten so that my current kitty companion won't be as intimidated as she might be by another adult and, hopefully, might even take it under her wing as "her new baby". I'm going to rescue so I'm not looking for a pure breed but I understand that there are some personality traits that seem to go along with some breeds and I want to be fully aware of what I might be getting myself into so I can find the most compatible match with my first cat. She's a three year old orange tabby/Abyssinian mix. She's very affectionate and attached to me- definitely a "velcro cat". I haven't had much of a chance to observe how she handles being around others of her own species except for two isolated incidents, both of which were with a 12 year old cat who is the feline version of a crabby old lady who didn't appreciate the antics of a playful youngster. But she doesn't seem to be overly territorial or aggressive and, although a little timid at first, is curious and friendly towards all of the "two legged guests". Thank you for any suggestions
Question #13:
Hey! So I am in need of a certain cat breed for my book. I know that everything depends on the individual cat, and that you can't judge a whole breed. I am just curious because you can make vast generalizations of breeds. Anyways, the requirements I need met are:
1. The breed can adapt to different to different environments (i.e hot area to cold).
2. The breed can live partially outside and partially inside (outside for a bit and inside for the most part).
3. The breed goes well with dogs, and all sorts of people (young and old).
The breeds I have found that I like are:
1. Turkish Angora
2. Maine Coon
3. Somali
4. Egyptian Mau
5. Siberian
6. Birman
7. Abyssinian
8. Mixed Breed, like the ones from shelters
*No matter which cat breed I get, I am going to make sure that I say he gets it from the shelter*
Thanks in advance!
Question #14:
My roommate and I just adopted a cat (an Abyssinian) from the shelter. They said she'd probably been a stray for awhile before coming in. She's supposed to weight eleven or twelve pounds, but at the moment she weighs just under 8 lbs. I am not sure what to feed her to help her get back to a healthy weight.

abyssinian to egyptian mau
havana brown to chantilly
nebelung to blue, gray, white or black ojos azules
white ojos azules to toyger
munchkin to singapura
Question #17:
I know cats do that when they're startled but my little kitten does it SO much. And usually she's sociable but I guess she just gets startled easier? Even when I get home from school she'll just arch at me then slowly she'll approach me and smell me and let me kneel down and pet her. She does the same with my sisters cat. My cat will just be lying somewhere and my sisters cat walks into the room and my cat stands up and arches at him, then he slowly comes forward and they sniff each other and they calm down?
My cat is a spayed female, 9 months old, part domestic short hair part Abyssinian.
Question #18:
I have a 16 year old Blue Abyssinian cat, Bandit. He's always been skinny and very active and very much happy his whole life. About a year ago, we noticed he began to eat less (normally he pigs out), and we tried many different kinds of food, and found one he would eat, but still not as much..
5 months ago, he started to really go downhill. He started to loose weight, I could count the bumps of his spine, and refused to eat his food. We tried baby food, canned fish, cooked trout, everything. He began to eat less, but a little more than before.
3 weeks ago, his favorite treat, bacon, while I was cooking it and gave it to him.. he just smelt it and walked away. He never touched it. He normally eats it up in an instant.. He's very skinny now, but he still eats. He has horrible breath, parts of his tail and side has places where he isn't grooming himself properly. He's been seeking out heat sources, the top of the dyer, heating pats, top of fridge..
Last night he was acting comatose, but the next day he snapped out of it, but today he spent the majority of the day sleeping inside a blanket on a chair.
He's very skinny, I'm would like to put him down, I'm terrified he'll continue to starve and have a heart attack or seizure. My mother wants to see what happens till the end of the month before acting, but I'm worried he may not go peacefully, and I would rather euthanize him now at our home.
What do you think?
He also had surgery last year, because of large fatty cyst, and had it removed. He returned to normal, but now he has over 4 of them on him, quick small, smaller than a penny. Our doctor is pathetic, and has given horrible advice and wrong diganoises to not only our dog, but to everyone in town. I live in a small town. Perhaps this is a contributing reason? He also has lost teeth, but his front remain, just mainly a few in the back. My parents will also probably not spend $3000 on a cat that is appearing to be dying of old age. Please don't assume I am heartless, I love him very dearly.
I HAVE researched thousands of sites online, and he doesn't go to the bathroom often, jumps at noises easily (I was beside him and I clapped at something. He jumped and I looked at him and clapped quietly again, and he kept jumping), gets up on the counter tops right in front of us and doesn't even get off (he's never done this before, and knows he's not supposed to do it).
The nearest vet is over an hour away, and we know he won't make that far, without going into shock or something. He gets extremely stressed, and it takes him hours to calm down.
I am also going to University in the fall, and my parents are movign with me (they are retiring in the city I am going to), and it is over 14 hours away from here. If he survives the summer, which I highly doubt, he would most likely not survive the car ride or shock from moving.
I love him so much, and I honestly don't want to part with him. He was my best friend when my birthfather and mother split up, and after we got him we got a mixed black and white cat named Missy. She died three years ago, and Bandit's never truly been the very same. I do believe it is his time ago, but I don't want him to suffer and have agony over a surgery that will only help him for a year before he passes. I don't want him to have any pain, and I'm terrified.
I forgot to mention he drools really bad now (never has before, ever), I'm not sure if this is leading up to old age of natural loss of back teeth?
Question #19:
we live close to a park so exercise is not a problem but our house is medium sized so we are not looking for a massive dog but if one fits our requirements please feel free to post it. our cat is a domestic short haired crossed with a Abyssinian cat (we think) and is very flexible so is our routine and time schedule.
feel fee to add stories about your own dog and how cheeky its been and the upside and downside of having it. We are very open to information and do not mind anything you put up as long as its not offensive.
also what are your thoughts on jack russel terriers
sorry i meant not russell russel
Question #20:
My Abyssinain cat is 13. He has not been the best at using the box 100 % of the time. He would somtimes choose a pile of dirty clothes, or somthing that was boxlike like under a desk, a basket, a open drawer, a tool box, a basket of clean towels on a shelf. I never see him do it, but he does look guilty and embarrassed when his misdeeds are discovered! LOL!
Is this a game that Aby cats play? what is his deal?
He lives with my sister now and she is less tolerant of the random surprise. NO cat is going to attack him in the box and his boxes are clean and he has 4 to choose from. I do not thnk he has any health problems.
Any advice? He cannot live out side.
Thanks!
oh and he will poop too sometimes in the spot.

The pet food recall scared us into making our own cat food at home. We did alot of research into cat nutrition requirements and went through alot of trial and error trying out new recipes for the cats - seeing what they liked and what they didn't. We ended up with quite a few super yummy recipes. Our friends begged us to share the recipes with them and we realized there were probably lots of other cat owners out there that would love to try these cat food recipes out on their cat too! So, 123 CatFood.com came into being. It really is as easy as 1-2-3.
